World Prostate Cancer Day 2026: Prostate Cancer Gibraltar and GHA raise awareness at The Piazza
Prostate Cancer Gibraltar marked World Prostate Cancer Day 2026 at The Piazza with the support of the Gibraltar Health Authority, encouraging men to learn more about prostate cancer, PSA testing and the importance of early detection.
A strong community response at The Piazza
On Thursday 11th June 2026, Prostate Cancer Gibraltar was present at The Piazza from 9:00am to 1:00pm to mark World Prostate Cancer Day and continue its work to raise awareness of prostate cancer in Gibraltar.
The event gave members of the public the opportunity to speak with the charity, ask questions, collect information and learn more about why men over the age of 50 are encouraged to check their PSA regularly.
Prostate cancer can sometimes develop without obvious symptoms. That is why awareness days such as this are so important. They help bring the message into the heart of the community and encourage men to take that first step.
The charity was extremely grateful for the number of people who stopped by, spoke with committee members, supported the awareness stand and helped keep the conversation about men’s health visible in Gibraltar.

Prostate Cancer Gibraltar would like to sincerely thank the Gibraltar Health Authority for supporting the event and for being present with the GHA Mobile Health Unit.
The GHA team played an important role throughout the morning, offering information and supporting eligible men with access to PSA blood tests after counselling.
Their presence helped make the event more accessible, practical and meaningful for the public. It also reinforced the importance of collaboration between the charity, healthcare professionals and the wider community.

You do not need to wait for symptoms. Many men diagnosed with prostate cancer have no symptoms at the time of detection.
