Deputy Mayor Nicholas Guerrero Shows Exceptional Support at Shave-Off Day
As part of the annual Walnut Campaign, Shave-Off Day 2025 once again brought the community together at The Piazza to raise awareness about prostate cancer—one of the most common cancers among men. While the event saw excellent participation across all ages, a standout moment of the morning came from Deputy Mayor Nicholas Guerrero, who joined the initiative by shaving off his beard in public to show his steadfast support.
Deputy Mayor Guerrero has long been a visible supporter of Prostate Cancer Gibraltar, frequently attending our key events, promoting awareness in the community, and encouraging men to prioritise early testing. His decision to participate in the Shave-Off this year added a meaningful layer to the event, reinforcing his commitment to men’s health and to the wellbeing of Gibraltar’s community.
By shaving off his beard, the Deputy Mayor helped bring attention to a crucial message — that talking openly about prostate cancer, recognising early symptoms, and taking part in routine PSA testing can save lives. His leadership by example is invaluable in breaking the stigma that still surrounds men’s health conversations.
The Deputy Mayor’s presence also helped elevate the visibility of the event, drawing more people into conversation and encouraging passers-by to learn more about prostate cancer. His involvement reflects the strong relationship between Prostate Cancer Gibraltar and Gibraltar’s civic leaders, who continue to support public health initiatives year after year.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Deputy Mayor Nicholas Guerrero for his ongoing commitment, energy, and public solidarity with our mission. His participation made Shave-Off Day 2025 even more special and impactful.
Prostate Cancer Gibraltar is deeply grateful to all who attended, donated, shaved, and supported. Together, we continue to make prostate cancer something men face — not fear.
