The Moorish Castle lights up blue
One of Gibraltar’s most recognisable landmarks will turn blue in support of Prostate Cancer Gibraltar and November’s prostate cancer awareness campaign.
A landmark carrying an important message.
From 30 October until 8 November 2026, Gibraltar’s historic Moorish Castle will be illuminated in blue in support of Prostate Cancer Gibraltar.
With the support of the Government of Gibraltar, the landmark will become a highly visible symbol of prostate cancer awareness at the start of one of the most important months in our annual calendar.
Thousands of people see the Moorish Castle every day. Turning it blue gives Gibraltar a simple but powerful reminder that prostate cancer affects men, families and the wider community — and that talking openly about men’s health matters.
If you see the Moorish Castle illuminated, take a photograph, share it and help us carry the prostate cancer awareness message even further.
Blue for prostate cancer awareness
The illumination marks the beginning of a month of awareness, conversations and community activity across Gibraltar.
The Moorish Castle will be illuminated in blue from 30 October to 8 November 2026 in support of Prostate Cancer Gibraltar.
A month to make men’s health visible.
Throughout November, Prostate Cancer Gibraltar will be encouraging the community to talk, participate and help us keep prostate cancer firmly in the public conversation.
Raise awareness
Wear blue, share our campaign and talk about prostate cancer with the men in your family, workplace and community.
Grow Your Tache
Let the moustache grow during November and turn it into a conversation starter for men’s health and prostate cancer awareness.
Join the Shave Off
Finish the month with us on Sunday 29 November as Gibraltar comes together for Prostate Cancer Gibraltar’s annual Shave Off.
Grow it. Talk about it. Make it count.
During November, we are encouraging men across Gibraltar to Grow Your Tache.
It does not need to be perfect. The idea is simple: let your moustache become a visible reason for someone to ask a question, start a conversation or think about their own health.
Friends, families and workplaces can get involved too. Support the men taking part, share their progress and help us make prostate cancer awareness difficult to ignore this November.
One conversation can make a difference.
Sunday · Prostate Cancer Gibraltar Shave Off
We finish November together.
On Sunday 29 November, the final Sunday of the month, Prostate Cancer Gibraltar will hold its annual Shave Off.
After a month of growing moustaches and helping us spread the message, the Shave Off brings the community together to celebrate everyone who has taken part and to keep the focus on prostate cancer awareness.
More information about the event will be announced by Prostate Cancer Gibraltar as November approaches.
Help us turn Gibraltar blue.
Look out for the Moorish Castle, grow your tache, join the Shave Off and help Prostate Cancer Gibraltar keep men’s health in the conversation throughout November.
