Events & Campaigns
Prostate Cancer Gibraltar organises and supports awareness initiatives, fundraising activities and community events throughout the year β all built around one message: early detection saves lives.
Why our events matter
Our campaigns and events keep prostate cancer awareness visible across Gibraltar. They encourage men to consider PSA testing, help reduce stigma around menβs health, and bring the community together in a shared commitment to early detection.
Awareness
We create visible moments that spark conversations and encourage early action.
Fundraising
Funds raised through events help sustain year-round awareness and support resources.
Community
Events connect people, organisations and families β strengthening support across Gibraltar.
Walnut Campaign (Annual November Awareness Campaign)
The Walnut Campaign is our flagship annual initiative held every November to mark prostate cancer awareness month. Using the walnut as a visual symbol of the prostate, the campaign focuses on awareness, PSA testing and early detection β and has become one of the most recognised prostate cancer awareness movements in Gibraltar.
What the campaign achieves
- Raises awareness about prostate cancer and menβs health
- Encourages PSA testing and early detection
- Engages the public through fundraising initiatives
- Creates recognisable messaging across Gibraltar
Key message
A simple blood test can make a life-saving difference. Our campaign reinforces the idea that prostate health should be part of normal conversations β not something avoided.
