"Free the Knee 2025: Walk, Wear, and Win Against Prostate Cancer"
This summer, Gibraltar is once again stepping up in support of men’s health with Free the Knee 2025, a dynamic initiative led by the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission in aid of Prostate Cancer Gibraltar.
The campaign kicks off with the “Knee’d for Speed” Step Challenge – a four-day event from 28 to 31 July where teams of five compete to clock the highest number of steps. Entry is just £25 per team, and every step contributes directly to raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer. The winning team will be announced on Friday 1st August.
That same Friday marks Free the Knee Day, inviting everyone across the community to ditch the trousers and wear shorts to work – a simple but powerful gesture to stand in solidarity with those affected by prostate cancer. The dress-down action sparks conversation, reduces stigma, and brings vital attention to men’s health issues.
GFSC is also running internal events like a Pub Quiz and Reshape & Rumble fitness session, all geared toward boosting morale and raising donations.
Whether you’re walking, quizzing, dancing, or simply baring your knees at the office, every act counts. Every pound raised goes to Prostate Cancer Gibraltar, helping fund local support, screening campaigns, and awareness drives.
So grab your team, lace up those trainers, roll up your shorts, and let’s make every step matter.
